Korean Life Simulation Game 'inZOI' Delayed to 2025
Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, has been delayed until March 28, 2025, to ensure a superior gaming experience. This decision, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes building a stronger foundation based on positive player feedback from earlier demos and playtests.
Kjun emphasized the importance of delivering a complete and polished game, likening the development process to raising a child – a lengthy commitment to nurturing a product to its full potential. The positive response to the character creator, which saw a peak of 18,657 concurrent players before its removal from Steam on August 25, 2024, further underscored this responsibility.
Data from SteamDB highlights the significant interest in inZOI, making the delay a strategic move to avoid releasing an unfinished product, unlike the recently canceled Life By You. While this pushes inZOI into competition with Paralives, another life simulator slated for a 2025 release, Krafton aims to create a truly immersive and long-lasting experience, promising hours of gameplay "for years to come."
The game, initially announced in Korea in 2023, seeks to redefine the life simulation genre with its advanced customization and realistic visuals. Whether it's managing a character's career or enjoying virtual karaoke, inZOI aims to carve its own niche within the genre, exceeding expectations as a mere Sims competitor.
