WoW: Midnight Unveils Flexible Housing System
Blizzard has recently shared exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system for World of Warcraft: Midnight, which is set to launch as part of the Worldsoul saga after The War Within. The previews have sparked enthusiasm among players, showcasing a level of customization that surpasses previous expectations.
In a developer blog, Blizzard released in-game videos demonstrating the furniture placement mechanics. The system utilizes a grid for item alignment, featuring automatic snapping that simplifies the decorating process. Players can enhance larger objects like shelves or tables with smaller accessories, which remain attached even when the larger piece is moved.
The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for easy organization and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players gain the ability to rotate objects on all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, allowing for the creation of intricate and visually appealing interiors.

A notable feature of the system is the ability to scale objects to suit different character sizes. This means that smaller races like gnomes can design more intimate spaces, while larger races such as tauren can create expansive layouts. Additionally, certain new furniture pieces will support recoloring, although this feature won't be available for legacy assets.
With World of Warcraft: Midnight still months away, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by teasing more content, ensuring continued excitement and anticipation for the game's future updates.
