Valhalla Survival Unveils Hero Ascension System

Valhalla Survival’s latest update introduces a substantial expansion, complete with fresh gameplay systems and challenges. Lionheart Studio has formally launched a Hero Ascension System within the game. This release is also packed with a wide array of new items for the battlefield.

How Does the New System Work?

The Hero Ascension System in Valhalla Survival allows you to empower your heroes using Hero Shards. Each ascension level enhances both the hero's personal skills and their class-specific abilities. Furthermore, you gain access to a secondary skill slot, enabling you to equip powerful skills from other heroes.

Every ascension attempt is guaranteed to succeed. Reaching specific ascension tiers grants cumulative, permanent passive bonuses. Upon hitting major milestone levels, you can also unlock special profile icons and frames to showcase your achievements.

You can review the full roster of heroes eligible for ascension in the dedicated Hero Advancement tab. This section also lets you preview how skills will transform before you finalize any upgrades.

The initial tier focuses on boosting hero skills and unlocking the additional skill slot. The second tier significantly improves class skills. Even higher tiers of ascension are planned for future updates.

Introducing the Hero Trial System

This new feature lets you test-drive heroes you haven't yet unlocked. You enter a special five-minute stage where monsters assault you but cannot deal actual damage.

Throughout the trial, all hero skills have a fixed 10-second cooldown, and a predefined level and equipment set is applied. If the hero being trialed has unlocked ascension effects, those bonuses will be active during the session.

In addition, three new treasure chest items have been introduced: Flames of Muspelheim, Footsteps of Loki, and Coin of Fate. Each provides unique combat effects, ranging from offensive fire projection to brief periods of invincibility.

Meanwhile, Nightmare Mode has been extended with a challenging fifth chapter, designed for seasoned players seeking a greater test. If you haven't yet experienced this hack-and-slash roguelike, you can download it now from the Google Play Store.
