Tawakkalna, developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is the Kingdom's official app for managing emergencies and protecting the community. It played a crucial role in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
Initially, Tawakkalna focused on facilitating relief efforts by digitally issuing permits during curfew periods for both public and private sector employees, and individuals. This helped curb the virus's spread.
Subsequently, during the "Return with Caution" phase, Tawakkalna introduced vital new services to ensure a safe return to normalcy. A key feature was the implementation of a color-coded system to clearly indicate users' health statuses, prioritizing security and privacy.
