BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Unlock Characters
Your journey begins after completing the tutorial, where you’ll receive your first Prototype Analyzer along with a brief introduction on how to use it. From the Acer Program room, exit through the passage on your right to enter a chamber featuring a glowing platform. Interact with this platform to open the character selection menu and choose which character you’d like to unlock next.
As you collect more Prototype Analyzers, return to this same room and interact with the platform again to add another playable fighter to your roster. Please note that DLC characters—Rachel and Hazama, as of March 2025—are exceptions to this rule and should unlock automatically once you’ve purchased and installed their respective character packs.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Get More Prototype Analyzers
There are two primary methods for obtaining additional Prototype Analyzers in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect*, both requiring time and commitment:
Progress Through the Story
By completing training missions and advancing through the game’s narrative, you'll unlock gray skills. You’ll earn a Prototype Analyzer at key milestones such as:
- Unlocking 10 gray skills
- Unlocking 20 gray skills
- Unlocking 40 gray skills
Additionally, without revealing spoilers, one Prototype Analyzer is awarded automatically after a pivotal story event later in the game. Green skill unlocks via Potential do not reward Prototype Analyzers, so unless new content or quests are added by developer 91Act, only three Prototype Analyzers can be earned this way.
Complete Mind Challenges and Spend AP
The second method involves participating in the Mind Challenge mode, where you earn AP (Action Points). Speak to the janitor to exchange 5,000 AP for one Prototype Analyzer. However, this option isn’t available frequently, so patience is key when farming for multiple analyzers.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect: All Characters
As of March 2025, *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* features a total of 12 playable characters—10 included in the base game and 2 available as paid DLC content. With the exception of DLC characters, all others are unlocked using Prototype Analyzers.
Ragna the Bloodedge
Ragna serves as the game’s core melee brawler with a unique twist. As his health decreases, he gains increased power, allowing him to sacrifice HP for offensive boosts and then recover some of it by damaging opponents.
Jin Kisaragi
Jin excels in sword-based combat and ice-elemental techniques. He can freeze enemies, grant himself powerful strength boosts during combos, and confuse foes with high-speed movement if timed correctly.
Noel Vermillion
Unlike Ragna and Jin, Noel thrives at range with her ability to fire missiles in any direction. She also benefits from reduced cooldown times and the Over-Exhaust mechanic, letting her cast skills even when MP is depleted.
Taokaka
While Taokaka may lack anti-armor moves, her versatility makes up for it. Her Spinny Spinny attack allows for repeated hits and status effect buildup, making her adaptable to nearly any build strategy.
Hakumen
Hakumen embodies the tank archetype—he's slow but powerful, capable of dealing massive damage. Blocking attacks allows him to counter with skills at a reduced MP cost, and he can even equip mid-air attacks for enhanced versatility.
Lambda-11
Lambda-11 combines close-range aggression with long-range support capabilities. She’s highly effective at applying continuous damage over time and adapting to various combat scenarios.
Kokonoe
Often regarded as one of the weaker characters, Kokonoe requires careful use of lasers and crowd control effects. Still, she can be quite effective with the right build, particularly focusing on sustained damage output.
Hibiki Kohaku
Hibiki specializes in evasion and area control. While not the strongest in raw offense, his ability to avoid damage and manage enemy groups makes him a reliable choice.
Es
Es is a well-rounded powerhouse capable of countering after dodging, executing aerial combos, and applying crowd-control effects without feeling underpowered in any area.
