Rules of the Game Svara (Svarka)

Svara (Svarka) is an engaging card game that uses a 32-card deck, ranging from 7 to Ace. It can be enjoyed by a minimum of two players and offers a total of 4960 possible combinations.

Rules

Each player is dealt three cards in a clockwise direction. The game's objective is to achieve the highest score, determined by the following point system:

1. Cards from 7 to 9 award 7 to 9 points, respectively.
2. Cards 10, J, Q, and K each give 10 points.
3. Aces are valued at 11 points.
4. Cards of the same suit are summed for their total points. For example, Q♦, K♦, and 10♠ together yield 20 points, while 10♠, 8♠, and K♥ total 18 points.
5. Aces can be combined regardless of suit: two Aces are worth 22 points, and three Aces total 33 points.
6. The 7♣, known as "Ceco Jonchev, Chechak, Chotora, Shpoka, or Yoncho," can be combined with any other card for 11 points.
7. Three 7s form the strongest combination, valued at 34 points.
8. Three of a kind are scored by multiplying the lead card's value by three. For instance, three 8s are worth 24 points (3 x 8), and three Queens give 30 points (3 x 10).

Examples

• 7♥, 9♦, 9♣: Total of 9 points (the lowest possible hand).
• 10♠, 10♦, 10♣: Total of 30 points.
• 8♣, K♥, 9♦: Total of 10 points.
• K♥, 9♥, Q♣: Total of 19 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, 9♦: Total of 10 points.
• A♠, A♦, 10♣: Total of 22 points.
• 8♠, A♦, 7♣: Total of 22 points.
• 10♦, 9♦, J♦: Total of 29 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, Q♦: Total of 30 points.
• 7♣, K♥, K♦: Total of 31 points.
• 7♣, A♥, A♦: Total of 33 points.
• Two 7s of any suit: Total of 23 points.

Betting

1. Before dealing the cards, each player places an initial bet known as the ante.
2. The player to the dealer's left announces their bet. They can also place a blind bet before seeing their cards.
3. If a blind bet is placed, the next player to the left can double it.
4. If a player skips the blind bet, the next player cannot place a new blind bet. (Blind bets are optional.)
5. After cards are dealt, players make their bets.
6. If a blind bet is in play, the subsequent player must at least double it.
7. To see other players' cards, the player who placed the blind bet must match the current bet.
8. If a blind bet remains unmatched, the last player to place a blind bet wins.
9. The player with the highest points wins the game.
10. If no blind bet or subsequent bets are placed, the dealer wins.
11. If multiple players have the same points, a "SVARA" is declared.
12. A SVARA initiates a new game that includes all bets from the previous round.
13. Players can join a SVARA by paying the SVARA join fee.
