Genshin Impact Debuts Skirk and Dahlia in 5.7

Genshin Impact's next major update, Version 5.7 "A Space and Time for You," is set for release on June 18. This patch introduces new playable characters, advances the main story, adds a fresh combat challenge, and features a strategic Akademiya-designed mini-game.

Skirk Arrives in Genshin Impact Version 5.7!

Skirk, Childe's enigmatic Abyss-associated mentor, makes her long-awaited debut. Her unique playstyle centers on switching between two distinct combat stances, powered by a special mechanic known as Serpent's Subtlety.

She is joined by the new 4-star Hydro character Dahlia, the Deacon of the Church of Favonius, who specializes in support abilities. The update's first banner phase will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and a rerun of Shenhe. The second phase will see the return of the Pyro Archon Mavuika alongside Emilie.

Where’s the Story Heading?

The narrative picks up from the "Bedtime Story" quest, following the Traveler and their sibling as the Abyss Order's activity escalates in Natlan. With tensions rising, Mavuika prepares her defenses, and Dainsleif returns in a new guise to aid the Traveler.

In other events, the Sumeru Akademiya launches a simulated adventure that blends tactical choices with randomness. Players will form a team of Companion Pieces and select an expedition path through either the rainforest or desert.

Version 5.7 also introduces a permanent endgame mode, Stygian Onslaught. This challenge features three rotating bosses across six difficulty levels. Completion rewards include Artifacts and a new resource, Dust of Enlightenment, which allows for substat rerolls on max-level Artifacts.

Finally, a new slice-of-life series, "Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter," will offer lighthearted stories from across Teyvat, featuring characters such as Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori.
