Warhammer Tacticus Announces New Faction at Skulls Event

Whether you're a fan or not, Snowprint Studios' Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus stands as the premier mobile Warhammer experience. Even critics must admit its impressive roster of factions is substantial, and it's about to grow even larger with a brand-new addition!

What could it be? That's the mystery, as details will be unveiled on May 22nd during the annual Warhammer Skulls gaming showcase. The event will also feature deep discounts on a vast array of grimdark games set in the far future, the Old World, and beyond.

With over a dozen factions already in Tacticus, the possibilities seem surprisingly limited. We might see another Imperium or Chaos sub-faction, but within the xenos category, several groups are due for more attention. I have my own personal theory on this.

If I were to guess the next Tacticus faction, I'd say the recently introduced Leagues of Votann are a strong possibility. This faction of deep-space miners, heavy drinkers, and cloned "definitely-not-dwarves" was a surprising and welcome addition to the 40k universe.

Appearing in a major game would significantly raise awareness for this intriguing faction. Of course, we might just get something like the Grey Knights or the Inquisition. Be sure to tune in at 9am PST, 12pm EST, 5pm BST and 6pm CEST to find out during the Warhammer Skulls showcase on Twitch!
