An intriguing revelation from the trailer is that it's The Engineer who is responsible for destroying the robots, including presumably Kelex, that care for Superman in the Fortress of Solitude. This scene was hinted at in a previous trailer where we saw a distressed Superman cradling Kelex post-battle. Additionally, the trailer features Krypto the Superdog executing a flying punch at The Engineer, demonstrating his willingness to engage in the fight against villains.

The trailer also offers action-packed sequences with Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman. We see more of Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason / Metamorpho, adding depth to the film's ensemble. The Hammer of Boravia, a new character introduced by Gunn and speculated to be Ultraman in disguise, makes an appearance as anticipated from yesterday's teaser.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane is prominently featured in the trailer, with a scene showing Lois interviewing Clark in his Superman persona. The interview escalates into a heated argument over the ethics of Superman's controversial intervention in a foreign war, with Superman defending his actions by saying, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" As a consequence of these actions, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.

In another poignant moment from the trailer, a member of the public is seen helping Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This act of kindness stands in stark contrast to other scenes where the public is shown screaming at Superman and even throwing objects at him, highlighting the complex relationship between the hero and the people he vows to protect.
