Exclusive Interview: Nintendo's Doug Bowser on San Francisco Expansion
Nintendo is set to delight fans with the opening of its second official store in the United States today, May 15, located in San Francisco's Union Square at 331 Powell Street. This new addition, known as Nintendo San Francisco, follows the success of the revamped Nintendo NY store, which underwent renovations and rebranding from its previous name, Nintendo World Store, before reopening in 2016.
IGN had the opportunity to visit the San Francisco store to explore what Nintendo has in store for its customers. Additionally, we had an exclusive sit-down with Nintendo of America's president, Doug Bowser, to discuss the strategic decision behind opening their first West Coast store at this time.
