On January 18, Deadlock introduced four exciting new heroes to the game, and just a few days later, the developers rolled out a series of balance adjustments. Holliday's ability, Crackshot, now triggers on units and uses half its cooldown in those instances, providing more tactical options. Meanwhile, Calico's ability, Ava, has been upgraded to destroy objects as she moves through them, enhancing her destructive potential on the battlefield.
The patch didn't leave older heroes behind, with several receiving targeted updates. Kelvin now boasts a higher health pool, increased from 600 to 650, which should make him more durable in combat. Vendicta's bullet speed was dialed back from 810 to 740, and her movement speed was reduced from nine to eight, aiming to balance her overall effectiveness. These adjustments, along with changes to nine other heroes, including the newly introduced ones, demonstrate Valve's dedication to maintaining a balanced and engaging gameplay experience.
Deadlock remains in its closed beta phase, yet it continues to attract a dedicated player base, with online player counts steadily ranging between 7,000 and 20,000. This consistent engagement speaks volumes about the game's appeal and the community's eagerness for its full release.
