Surprisingly affordable at $39.99, this price point reflects the fact that the physical version comes as a "game-key card," rather than a traditional disk. More on that below.

Some Nintendo Switch 2 games come on cards that contain the full game data, while others, like this one, function more like a key. The game-key card resembles a Switch 2 cartridge but doesn't include the game itself. Instead, you'll need to insert the card into your Switch 2 to download the 11GB game from the eShop.

Despite this, you can still share the physical card with friends or sell it. To play, however, you'll need to use the game-key card with your Switch 2.
