Chinese Pooping (Boerenbridge) Card Game Overview

Objective: The goal of Chinese Pooping, also known as Boerenbridge, is to accurately predict the number of tricks (strokes) you will win in each round and accumulate the highest score by the end of the game.

Game Setup and Play:

• The game starts with the dealer distributing cards to each player. The number of cards dealt increases by one each round, starting from one card in the first round up to a maximum determined by the number of players (e.g., 10 cards per player in a game with five players). After reaching the maximum, the number of cards dealt decreases back to one per player.
• Players, starting from the left of the dealer, bid on the number of tricks they expect to win in that round. The highest bidder gets to choose the trump suit.
• The dealer, who bids last, must ensure the total number of tricks bid does not equal the total number of cards dealt in that round. For example, if seven cards are dealt and the bids before the dealer are 0, 3, and 2, the dealer cannot bid 2 because 0 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 7.

Scoring:

• Points are awarded based on how accurately players predict their tricks. If a player correctly predicts the number of tricks they will win, they score points equal to the number of tricks they predicted. If they overbid or underbid, they lose points.
• The game continues through all rounds, and the player with the highest total score at the end wins.
