Carplounge V4 Autopilot

The Carplounge Autopilot, in combination with the Raymarine Element App for RT7 & RT4 V4, transforms the way you control your BaitBoat. Instead of relying on a traditional remote control, this innovative system utilizes an Android tablet or smartphone, offering a more intuitive and feature-rich interface. The required software is available for free on the Google Play Store and is compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. By connecting the tablet to the boat via Bluetooth using a dedicated transmitter box, full control of the BaitBoat becomes accessible directly through the touchscreen interface.

Manual Mode: Full Control at Your Fingertips

In manual mode, the BaitBoat operates just like a conventional model, allowing you to steer it using the touch screen. Real-time positioning, route tracking, and compass orientation are displayed on an interactive map, which updates continuously as the boat moves. Thanks to built-in GPS functionality, users can mark and name key fishing locations—such as "jetty left", "spot 1", or "home"—based on findings from an echo sounder, making future navigation to these spots effortless.

Autopilot Mode: Precision Route Planning

Switch to autopilot mode to create custom routes by selecting and combining multiple waypoints, each with specific actions assigned—like opening hoppers (left/right), deploying releases, or activating onboard lights. For example:

• 1.) Navigate to “Sandbank” – upon arrival, open the right hopper
• 2.) Proceed to “Spot 2” – once there, open the left hopper
• 3.) Return to the starting point and signal completion with a light blink

Once programmed, the boat autonomously follows the designated route. An extensive number of waypoints and routes can be stored, enabling precise and repeatable missions. Utilizing advanced measurement technologies—including GPS, compass, position, and acceleration sensors—the system achieves highly accurate route guidance, delivering sub-30cm precision in approximately 90% of cases.

Smart Line Tension Management

One standout feature is the intelligent line tensioning system. When deploying one or two rods simultaneously to different spots, the onboard electronics detect line tension and automatically adjust steering to counteract pull forces. This ensures the boat maintains a straight course toward its target without unnecessary turns, minimizing line tangles and improving bait placement accuracy.

Flexible Control Options

While the Carplounge Autopilot replaces the standard remote control, we also support integration with a physical remote. This dual-control option gives users the freedom to choose between operating the boat via their Android tablet or using a handheld controller. All Android tablets with Bluetooth capability are compatible, though our app is currently optimized for 10-inch devices. Direct touchscreen control makes piloting the BaitBoat both intuitive and responsive.

As the Carplounge app is offered free of charge and available on the Google Play Store, we can deliver regular updates seamlessly. These updates include new features, enhancements, and bug fixes—all without requiring hardware returns or additional installations.
