This app offers a collection of three classic two-player card games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat. Each game is designed to be simple yet strategically engaging, perfect for casual play or competitive matches. You can easily choose your preferred game mode from the Settings menu.
Four Cards Golf Rules
Four Cards is a strategic card game for two players. Inspired by golf, the objective is to finish each round with the lowest score possible.
Each match consists of nine rounds. At the start of a round, each player receives four cards face down. The remaining cards form a draw pile, and the top card is placed face up to begin the discard pile.
Before the game begins, players are allowed one opportunity to secretly view the two cards closest to them in their layout. These cards must remain hidden from the opponent until they are either discarded or scored at the end of the round. Players cannot look at any other cards in their layout once the round starts.
On a player's turn, they may draw a card from the draw pile. This drawn card can replace any one of the four cards in their layout, but the replaced card must not be viewed before being discarded. The replacement card is moved to the discard pile face up. Alternatively, a player may draw from the discard pile and must immediately use that card to replace one of their own, after which it is discarded face up.
Players also have the option to "knock" during their turn, signaling the end of their play for the round. After a knock, the other player continues their turn normally but cannot knock themselves. Once both players have knocked, the round ends.
Scoring:
- Pairs of cards (same rank) in a row or column count as 0 points.
- Jokers are worth -2 points.
- King cards are worth 0 points.
- Queens and Jacks are worth 10 points each.
- All other cards are worth their face value.
- If all four cards are the same, they total -6 points.
Six Cards Golf Rules
Six Cards follows the same basic principles as Four Cards, but with six cards per player instead of four. The goal remains to keep your point total as low as possible over multiple rounds.
Each round starts with each player receiving six cards face down. Remaining cards form a draw pile, and the top card is placed face up in the discard pile.
At the beginning of the game, each player reveals two of their cards. From there, players aim to reduce the value of their cards by swapping or pairing them with cards of equal rank in the columns.
Players take turns drawing a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile. If the drawn card comes from the discard pile, it must be used to swap one of the player’s cards. A drawn card from the draw pile can either be swapped or discarded. If swapped, the new card remains face up. If discarded, the player's turn ends. The round concludes when all of a player’s cards are face-up.
Scoring:
- Pairs of cards in the same column count as 0 points.
- Jokers are worth -2 points.
- King cards are worth 0 points.
- Queens and Jacks are worth 20 points each.
- All other cards are worth their face value.
To swap one of your cards with the one in the discard pile, simply tap on the card you wish to replace. To draw a card from the main deck, tap on the draw pile to reveal it, then decide whether to discard it or swap it with one of your own cards.
