Squad Busters is revving up for one of its most electrifying collaborations yet—Sonic the Hedgehog is racing into the game on June 17th as the newest hero, bringing his trusted allies Tails and Knuckles along as exclusive Squaddies. This high-speed crossover marks a thrilling fusion of fast-paced action and strategic gameplay, straight from the world of Sega’s legendary franchise.

True to his nature, Sonic thrives on speed. His signature ability lets him enter Super Sonic form, granting temporary invincibility, while his Turbo mechanic ensures the momentum never slows. As a core Speedster hero, Sonic also amplifies the powers of fellow Speedster Squaddies, making him a powerful linchpin in any squad build.

By his side, Tails takes flight with his trusty Cyclone Walker, armed with a high-powered laser cannon that delivers long-range devastation. Knuckles, ever the powerhouse, dives underground to dodge attacks and re-emerges beneath enemies for devastating surprise strikes—perfect for turning the tide in chaotic battles.

To unlock Sonic and his crew, players can dive into the limited-time event launching June 17th. Collect rings by battling opponents, logging in daily, and visiting the shop. Start with Sonic’s Hero Journey, then use additional rings to unlock Tails and Knuckles—each with their own unique evolution paths.

And no Sonic adventure would be complete without his arch-nemesis. Dr. Eggman crashes the event as the new Dr. Eggman Attacks modifier. Not only does this challenge boost ring rewards, but it also sends Eggman patrolling the map in his Egg Mobile, clashing with heroes and transforming into the colossal Death Egg Robot for an epic showdown.
