To enhance the management of prostate cancer through Active Surveillance (AS), a dedicated interdisciplinary team of expert Urologists and Radiologists in Berlin, known as the Berlin Expert AS Team, has collaboratively developed the Wave Active Surveillance App (Wave AS). This innovative tool is designed to assist individuals diagnosed with prostate cancer in making informed decisions about their treatment options.

With Wave AS, you can have your medical records reviewed by the Berlin Expert AS Team. By completing a concise set of tasks within the app, you will receive a personalized expert recommendation on whether Active Surveillance is a suitable approach for your specific case.

The Wave AS app not only facilitates decision-making but also supports you throughout your journey by sending reminders for upcoming appointments and tasks, providing follow-up evaluations of your health status, and offering valuable resources to help monitor your prostate cancer effectively.

Active Surveillance is a strategy for monitoring localized prostate cancer that is classified as low risk for progression and metastasis. This approach aims to delay or avoid immediate treatment, thereby reducing the risk of potential complications associated with more aggressive interventions.
