Weekly Challenges: New Game Mode in The Battle of Polytopia

The Battle of Polytopia has just rolled out an exciting new feature that's set to shake up the world of 4X strategy gaming: Weekly Challenges. This fresh twist introduces a structured competition that promises to test your strategic prowess in new and thrilling ways. Dive in to learn all about it and see how it can elevate your gaming experience.
It Was Random Before
The Battle of Polytopia has always been known for its unpredictable gameplay, with a mix of different enemies, resources, and maps that keep players on their toes. However, the latest free update introduces a more organized competitive environment. Each week, players are given the same map, the same tribe, and the same gameplay conditions. The challenge? To achieve the highest score possible within 20 turns. You get one shot per day, giving you up to seven attempts each week to outdo your previous scores.
One of the coolest aspects of Weekly Challenges is the opportunity to play as tribes you might not yet own. The game features 16 tribes in total—four included in the base game and twelve more available for purchase at $1-4 each. But with the Weekly Challenges, everyone gets to compete using the same tribe, regardless of whether they've bought it or not.
Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely! The introduction of Weekly Challenges is set to inject a new level of excitement into The Battle of Polytopia. Alongside this feature, a new League system has been introduced. You'll start in the Entry League, and your performance each week will determine whether you move up or down. The top third of players advance, the bottom third drop down, and those in the middle stay the same.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty ramps up. In the Entry League, you'll face Easy AI, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you're up against Crazy difficulty bots. And don't worry if you miss a week; you won't be demoted, but your ranking will adjust based on other players' performances.
