Warframe: 1999 Unveils Techrot Encore Release Date, Adds Content and Characters
The excitement for Warframe's 1999 expansion continues to build with the upcoming Techrot Encore update, set to launch on March 19th. This update brings a nostalgic turn-of-the-millennium vibe and the thrilling return of the ARG band as formidable boss battles, adding a unique twist to the series-standard action that fans have come to love.
Techrot Encore introduces four new Protoframes to the roster: Flare, Minerva, Kaya, and Velimir II, each bringing their own flair to the battlefield. Alongside them, the 60th Warframe, Temple, makes a grand entrance, equipped with Techrot Subwoofer minions and a sapient guitar named Lizzie, promising to shake up the game's dynamics.
For seasoned players, the update doesn't stop there. Two new endgame stages are on the horizon. In Stage Defense, players will protect Scaldra during a poignant memorial show for fallen comrades amidst the city's takeover. Meanwhile, Temporal Archimedea challenges players to team up with Minerva and Velimir II for three consecutive random missions, with the Peely Pix system adding a layer of unpredictability by altering modifiers each round.
In a touching tribute, Digital Extremes honors a Make-A-Wish commitment from James Conlin with the introduction of the Atomicycle racing mini-game at the Höllvania Mall Hub's arcade collection, Ollie's Crash Course, adding a heartwarming element to the update.
With the anticipation building towards Tennocon 2025 and the relaunch of an enhanced open beta for the Warframe Companion App, there's no shortage of reasons for Warframe enthusiasts to be thrilled this March.
