Techland Unveils Free Tower Raid Mode for Dying Light 2

Techland is elevating the experience of Dying Light 2 with the introduction of Tower Raid, a thrilling new mode inspired by roguelite gameplay. After extensive testing, this eagerly awaited feature is now seamlessly integrated into the game, providing players with a novel way to navigate the perilous, infected-ridden environment.

In Tower Raid, you won't play as Aiden Caldwell. Instead, you'll choose from four unique warriors, each representing a distinct combat archetype: Tank, Brawler, Ranger, or Specialist. These classes come with specialized abilities that encourage varied playstyles and foster strategic team dynamics. For those seeking an ultimate test of skill, Tower Raid lets you shrink your team or even brave the tower solo.

The mode offers three difficulty settings—Quick, Normal, and Elite—each affecting the challenge and duration of your run. Thanks to procedural generation, every climb up the tower is unique, with constantly changing floor layouts and enemy encounters that demand adaptability for survival.

To keep the gameplay fresh and engaging, Techland has implemented a new progression system. Every failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, enhancing your chances in subsequent runs. Within the tower, you'll meet Sola, a mysterious merchant, who offers exclusive rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those adept enough to claim them.

Even as Techland gears up for the release of Dying Light: The Beast, the studio continues its dedication to enriching Dying Light 2 in 2025. Upcoming updates promise enhanced co-op mechanics, better matchmaking, expanded community map features, new characters for Tower Raid, a variety of new melee and ranged weapons, the introduction of a new weapon class, improvements to the prologue, and significant graphical and technical upgrades.
