Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and a top request from the community. Alongside this, they are launching the Folkrace DLC, which will enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players can look forward to competing in various events, earning rewards, and customizing their vehicles to rule the tracks.

The multiplayer feature will initially be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen to hear from the modding community, as the game's API will be updated to support the adaptation of mods for multiplayer scenarios.

This announcement marks a significant milestone for Teardown, as multiplayer has been a vision cherished by both the developers and the fans. At launch, players can access the multiplayer mode through the "Experimental" branch on Steam. Concurrently, the team will roll out API updates to ensure that existing mods can seamlessly integrate into multiplayer environments. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a staple feature of the game.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are on the horizon, with more details slated for release later in 2025. This promises to keep the Teardown community engaged and excited for what's to come.
