The first season of "The Last of Us" was a resounding success for HBO, earning widespread acclaim and numerous accolades. Created by Craig Mazin, known for "Chernobyl," and Neil Druckmann, head of Naughty Dog, the series clinched multiple Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards and received five Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor, Lead Actress, Outstanding Director, and Outstanding Writing.
Building on the success of the first season, HBO's Francesca Orsi has hinted at the show's future, suggesting that "The Last of Us" is planned to run for a total of four seasons.
