"Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"
Dive into the thrilling world of *R.E.P.O.*, a cooperative horror game that challenges up to six players to navigate through various maps, retrieve valuables, and safely extract them. To ensure your efforts are not in vain, understanding how to save your game is crucial. Here's a detailed guide on how to save your progress in *R.E.P.O.*
How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.
One of the most frustrating experiences for gamers is losing progress due to unsaved data. This is particularly true for new games like *R.E.P.O.*, where the saving mechanics might not be immediately clear. Unlike some games that offer autosave or manual save options, *R.E.P.O.* has a specific process you must follow to save your game.
The key to saving in *R.E.P.O.* is completing the level you're on. The game autosaves only when you successfully finish a level. There is no manual save feature, so if you exit the game or die during a retrieval mission, your progress will be lost, and you'll have to start that level over from the beginning. Death in *R.E.P.O.* results in your save file being deleted, and exiting mid-level means you'll need to restart from the beginning of that level.
To save your game, you must complete the level by delivering your valuables to the Extraction Point. After reaching the Extraction Point, enter the truck or find your way back to it. Then, hold the message button above your head to signal your AI boss, the Taxman, that you're ready to move to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop for necessary items. Once you're ready, use the same button to proceed to the next level.
After leaving the Service Station and arriving at your next location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or the host (if another player created the original save file) restarts the game, you can jump back into *R.E.P.O.* and continue from where you left off. It's important to note that the host is responsible for exiting at the correct time to ensure the game saves properly. Once the host quits, all other players will be disconnected.
