Ryan Reynolds in Early Talks for Deadpool and X-Men Film
Ryan Reynolds is reportedly in the early stages of developing a new film that would bring together Deadpool and several X-Men characters. According to THR, this project would not focus solely on Deadpool; instead, he would share the spotlight with three or four other X-Men members. Reynolds aims to highlight these characters in unique and unexpected ways, allowing them to take center stage alongside the Merc With a Mouth.
This ensemble movie is distinct from another X-Men project that Hunger Games writer Michael Lesslie is working on. Reynolds is known for nurturing his ideas independently before presenting them to Marvel, a process similar to what happened with Deadpool & Wolverine, which initially was envisioned as a low-budget road trip movie.
While the specific X-Men characters joining Deadpool remain undisclosed, Deadpool has a history of teaming up with various X-Men in past films, including Wolverine, Colossus, Sabertooth, Pyro, and even Channing Tatum's Gambit. This new project promises to further explore these dynamics in fresh and exciting ways.
