Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Dropping a Trade Feature and Space-Time Smackdown Expansion Soon

Exciting times are ahead for fans of Pokémon TCG Pocket, as the game is set to introduce trading and the Space-Time Smackdown expansion. This means you'll soon have the opportunity to exchange cards with your friends right within the game, enhancing your gaming experience.
When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?
Mark your calendars for January 29th, 2025, when trading will finally be available in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will be released. Alongside these updates, your digital binder and display board will receive a stylish upgrade with new covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.
Trading has been a much-anticipated feature, and to participate, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. The cards eligible for trading are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, you can only trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised more tradeable cards in future updates.
The Space-Time Smackdown expansion takes you to the Sinnoh region, bringing two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with fresh card illustrations. You'll also find Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, and the beloved Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. For a deeper dive into what's coming, check out the video below.
