People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to work on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. This collaboration is set to be a work-for-hire arrangement, but details about the project remain under wraps according to a recent report from People Can Fly.

The studio is juggling multiple projects simultaneously, each bearing unique codenames. Among these, Project Gemini is being developed in partnership with Square Enix, though it faced setbacks with the layoff of 30 developers last year. Another project, Project Echo, is underway with Krafton, while Project Red, which also seems to be with Sony, adds to their growing list. Additionally, People Can Fly recently announced that Project Bison, their venture into VR, would be their last in that realm.

In recent months, People Can Fly has made significant changes to their project lineup. Last December, they paused development on Project Victoria and scaled back on Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they decided to cancel Project Dagger, an action-adventure game planned with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains busy with eight known projects in development. This includes their highly anticipated collaboration with The Coalition on Gears of War: E-Day, though a release date for this title has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Project Gemini with Square Enix is slated for a 2026 release.
