The long-awaited details about the Nintendo Switch 2 have finally been revealed, and they surpass many expectations. The system boasts impressive capabilities, such as supporting up to 120fps and 4K resolution when docked, setting a new standard for portable gaming.

PlayDuring today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo unveiled several key features of the system. The Nintendo Switch 2 features a larger 7.9-inch screen compared to its predecessor, maintaining the same thickness of 13.9mm. It offers double the pixel count of the original Switch, supporting a 1080p display at up to 120fps in handheld mode. The screen is an LCD with HDR support, and when docked, it can also handle up to 4K resolution with HDR.

The new Joy-Con 2 controllers are magnetically attached and can be detached using a release button on the back. The SL and SR buttons on the sides are larger, enhancing playability in horizontal mode, and the analog sticks are also bigger. An exciting feature introduced is mouse control support within the Joy-Con controllers.

The Nintendo Switch 2 comes equipped with a built-in microphone featuring noise-canceling technology and 3D audio for compatible games. It also includes a more robust and adjustable stand compared to the original Switch. Additionally, there's a top USB port for external camera connectivity or to charge the system while in tabletop mode.

Storage-wise, the Nintendo Switch 2 boasts 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for gamers.
