Ninja Gaiden 4 Announced, Remaster of 2 Released

While DOOM: The Dark Ages stole the spotlight at Developer_Direct, capturing the hearts of gamers everywhere, it wasn't the only thrilling announcement. The highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4, the next installment in Koei Tecmo's beloved franchise, was unveiled, slated for a fall 2025 release. According to its debut trailer, this action-packed slasher will bring back the iconic ninja Ryu Hayabusa, introducing innovative mechanics like swift traversal via wires and rails, as showcased in the gameplay trailer.
The game's setting is a vividly designed cyberpunk city, perpetually drenched in toxic rain. Players will navigate through hordes of enhanced soldiers and confront eerie otherworldly creatures in their quest to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Alongside this exciting news, a massive remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 was also revealed. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and part of the Game Pass catalog, this remaster has been ported to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) by Team Ninja. They've overhauled character models, visual effects, and landscapes, incorporating elements from newer series entries, including three new playable characters.
