However, a curious detail emerged from the Nintendo Direct 2 trailer: Mario was seen eating a burger, raising the question among fans whether Cow, whose kind might be considered a source of beef, would partake in beef consumption.

At the event, IGN confirmed that Cow can indeed eat a range of foods available at Yoshi's diner locations within the game.
