While there hasn't been an official announcement yet, aside from Insider Gaming’s report, it seems that a Hogwarts Legacy: Definitive Edition is on the horizon, slated for release in 2025. This director’s cut is expected to include an impressive 10-15 hours of new DLC content. This additional content is speculated to lay the groundwork for the sequel's plot while also weaving in further connections to the upcoming HBO adaptation. Currently, the only DLC available for the original Hogwarts Legacy is The Dark Arts Legacy Pack, which costs $19.99 and includes the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, and Dark Arts Battle Arena. This raises the question: Will Hogwarts Legacy 2 receive DLC at launch, or will fans have to wait a considerable time for additional content, mirroring the experience with its predecessor?
