Helldivers 2 CEO Promises Exciting Updates
Exciting developments are on the horizon for Helldivers 2, as developer Arrowhead Game Studios teases what's next. The anticipation is building, and Arrowhead's CEO, Shams Jorjani, has hinted at some jaw-dropping news. In a recent exchange on the game's Discord, when asked about upcoming content, Jorjani's response was both cryptic and emphatic: "You'll shit your pants." This bold statement suggests that whatever is coming will have a significant impact on players.
While specifics remain under wraps, Jorjani also fielded other questions, touching on the potential addition of more bladed weapons and addressing concerns about content droughts. He openly discussed the technical challenges of maintaining and expanding a game like Helldivers 2, showcasing a refreshing level of transparency from the team.
Hints about future content have already surfaced, including a teaser involving a flag featuring both a pointy end and a grippy section. Arrowhead has set May 8 as the target date for announcing its next Warbond, promising even more exciting news to follow shortly thereafter.
In a recent interview with IGN, Arrowhead's production director, Alex Bolle, emphasized the studio's long-term commitment to Helldivers 2. Bolle expressed enthusiasm about thriving in a live environment, allowing for creative exploration and the integration of new systems that align with the team's vision. "The more we figure out how to thrive in a live environment, and we still have a way to go to figure out a lot of things around that, the more we can let creativity loose on new systems that we would've never thought about a year ago when we released," Bolle shared with IGN.
As we approach the reveal next week, fans of Helldivers 2 are advised to brace themselves for what Arrowhead has in store. It seems like having an extra pair of pants might come in handy.
