Author : Andrew May 06,2025

If you're looking to end the endless bickering between Prochek and Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest is your chance to bring peace. Here's how to navigate this quest and finally put an end to their feud.

How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To kick things off, you need to complete either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Once you've seen those quests through to the end, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice will become available. Simply talk to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to start the quest, then head over to the pasture to begin.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

Henry is once again caught between two feuding parties. If you choose to side with Prochek, visit him in Tachov and say, "Let’s get those Zhelejovites!" If you prefer to back Olbram, talk to him in Zhelejov and declare, "Let’s go and see those Tachovites!" During the negotiations at the pasture, avoid trying to reconcile them directly, as this will only escalate the situation. Instead, aim to pass the dialogue check to make one person from the opposing side retreat, making the fight easier. Winning the battle for either side will earn you some groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

If you're aiming for a more peaceful resolution, here's what you need to do. Before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they're willing to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Baliff Thrush, choosing the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace." Successfully passing the dialogue check will allow you to access the scribe’s room and read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If you fail to persuade Baliff Thrush, you can sneak in to read it, but remember to save your game first.

After speaking with the scribe, choose the dialogue option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei." Head to the pasture and locate three oak trees in a row. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. Your options with the nail are:

  • Leaving it in the middle tree will split the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
  • Putting the nail in the west tree will give more land to Tachov.
  • Putting the nail in the east tree will give more land to Zhelejov.

The choice doesn't significantly impact the outcome, so feel free to choose based on your preference or stay neutral. Once you've decided, talk to Baliff Thrush again, who will agree to end the feud. Then, convince Prochek or Olbram to meet at the pasture, and you'll successfully resolve their conflict.

Afterward, speak with Baliff Thrush to receive the Master Studies I book as a reward for your peacemaking efforts.
