If you relish the thrill of wielding colossal weapons and dominating with brute force in Elden Ring, the Raider class in Nightreign is tailored for you. This class is a perfect match for players who enjoy a playstyle focused on strength and heavy-hitting attacks. Check out the video below to see the Raider in action.

Unlike the Guardian, another robust class with a focus on defense and team support through its shield and damage-mitigating ultimate, the Raider is crafted as an unyielding offensive juggernaut. The Raider's defining ability is Retaliate, which may seem modest at first with its two stomps that deliver physical and poise damage. However, the true strength lies in the Raider's passive ability, which prevents knockback during Retaliate. This means you can absorb enemy and boss attacks with ease, and the second stomp transforms into a devastating punch capable of staggering even the mightiest foes if you've absorbed significant damage.

The Raider's ultimate, Totem Stela, unleashes a ground-slamming attack that summons a towering totem, causing substantial damage to surrounding enemies. This powerful move, like other ultimates in Nightreign, can dramatically shift the battle's momentum. The totem not only inflicts damage but also serves as a strategic asset—climbable for a safe haven or a vantage point for attacks. Additionally, it provides a damage buff to your team, making it a crucial ability to coordinate with your allies for maximum impact.

Starting with the Raider’s Greataxe, equipped with the "Endure" skill to further enhance your ability to withstand enemy attacks, the Raider thrives with large, strength-scaling weapons. As you progress in Nightreign, upgrading to more powerful weapons will be essential to maintain your dominance on the battlefield.

Among all the classes I've explored in Nightreign, the Raider stands out as the most enjoyable for me. It excels in one-on-one combat, which aligns perfectly with its unique Remembrances, where you'll engage in gladiatorial-style boss fights, offering a refreshing change from typical gameplay.
