Digimon Con Reveals New Project: Digital TCG Launch Imminent?
For fans of the iconic Digimon franchise, the upcoming Digimon Con 2025 promises to be an unmissable event. Attendees can anticipate a slew of exciting announcements and updates on future projects, but one teaser has particularly piqued our interest: a perplexed Renamon paired with a mobile phone.
The most compelling interpretation of this teaser is that it hints at a digital version of the Digimon TCG. Bandai Namco already offers a tutorial app for iOS and Android, much like other physical trading card games they produce. However, with the recent launch of Pokémon TCG Pocket, the possibility of a Digimon mobile TCG seems even more plausible.
It's wise to temper our excitement a bit, as the teaser might simply indicate that mobile devices will be used to view the upcoming livestream rather than being the platform for the new project itself.

Going Digital
Digimon, while beloved, has always been somewhat overshadowed by Pokémon. The rivalry between the two in the late '90s and 2000s was fierce, but Pokémon has since claimed the global pop culture throne. Despite this, Digimon remains a favorite among anime aficionados.
Launching a digital TCG would be a strategic move for Digimon. While it might not be an instant success like Pokémon TCG Pocket, the existing fanbase for the Digimon TCG is robust enough to make it a worthwhile venture. Expanding its accessibility could attract a broader audience.
We'll have to wait for the Digimon Con livestream later this month to get the full scoop. In the meantime, if you're eager to dive into new releases, check out our latest reviews. Last week, Jupiter explored the much-anticipated game, Good Coffee, Great Coffee, to see if it lives up to the hype.
