Catch Mastery Event: First Bird Pokémon Lands in Pokémon GO!

If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with the upcoming events, including the exciting Catch Mastery event. With the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event adds even more excitement to the mix.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

The Catch Mastery event is scheduled for March 16th, running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event spotlights Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance you might even come across their Shiny versions.

Archen will be available as a Field Research reward, and you'll have an increased chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers generous XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better, and also for Curveball Throws.

For those who love a challenge, the event includes Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks can reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is set for March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Absol will gain a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will have permanent access to this move, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. Additionally, you can obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you to collect a total of six for the day.

If you haven't already, be sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
