Featuring the Iconic Trio: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres

Starting January 20, the Dynamax forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will grace Pokemon GO skies until February 3. These legendary birds will appear in five-star Max Battles at Power Spots, giving you the chance to battle and capture them. Each bird will make its debut on consecutive Mondays:

• Dynamax Articuno: January 20
• Dynamax Zapdos: January 27
• Dynamax Moltres: February 3

Following their debut, each legendary bird will be available for an entire week, allowing ample time for players to engage with them. In addition, the "Legendary Flight Timed Research" will be active, providing opportunities to catch Pokemon with a higher chance of being Shiny, perfect for battling the legendary birds. You'll also earn Candy and Max Particles to power up your Pokemon. Here's the schedule for this exclusive Timed Research in your local time:

• Dynamax Articuno: January 17 at 10:00 am - January 20 at 7:00 pm (Charmander, Beldum, Scorbunny)
• Dynamax Zapdos: January 24 at 10:00 am - January 27 at 7:00 pm (Drilbur, Cryogonal, Grookey)
• Dynamax Moltres: January 31 at 10:00 am - February 3 at 7:00 pm (Squirtle, Krabby, Sobble)

Victory Pokemon, Victini, Obtainable Once Again

The excitement continues with updates for the Pokemon GO Tour: Unova global event. While the in-person event may be out of reach for some, the Pokemon GO team has ensured that all players can participate by upgrading their free Tour Pass to a Tour Pass Deluxe. This upgrade unlocks better rewards and accelerates your progression.

Starting February 24, 2025, at 10:00 am, every Pokemon GO player will receive their free Tour Pass. This pass allows you to collect Tour Points and rank up, earning additional rewards until the event concludes on March 2, 2025, at 6:00 pm local time.

Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe not only speeds up your progression but also grants immediate access to encounter the Mythical Pokemon Victini. Upon reaching the highest tier, you'll receive the new Lucky Trinket, enabling you to set your status with a friend to Lucky Friends. This status allows you to trade for a Lucky Pokemon, which boasts boosted stats and a lower power-up cost. Note that the Lucky Friends status clears after trading, making it a one-time opportunity to secure a powerful Pokemon.
