Planning Ahead For The Third Major Update

Even as The Warsong Update rolls out, developer Supergiant Games is already looking ahead to the third major update, which is slated to be revealed "some months from now," according to their Steam news post. Hades II will remain in Early Access for the foreseeable future, as the developers have indicated that "it’s still too early to share our plans beyond that, including when our v1.0 launch will be." However, they have hinted that the full release might be closer than expected, as the core structure of both the Underworld and the Surface routes is now essentially complete. Their focus is now on enriching the existing content.

After all of The Warsong Update’s post-launch patches have been released, Supergiant Games will shift their focus to the following initiatives:

• Hidden Aspects: The Nocturnal Arms still hold undiscovered secrets that players will eventually be able to uncover and wield.
• Enhanced Guardians: Boss battles are a crucial part of the Hades II experience, and they will be tweaked to offer even more challenge and surprise.
• Expanded Story: The rest of Melinoë’s story is already being planned, along with further development of inter-character relationships and subplots.
