"Among Us 3D Release Date Announced, Distinct from VR Version"

Exciting news for Among Us fans: the release date for Among Us 3D has been officially announced! Schell Games and publisher Innersloth revealed that Among Us 3D will launch on May 6, 2025. Initially known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more inclusive gaming experience with cross-play multiplayer capabilities. This new iteration introduces a non-expiring currency called Stardust, giving players more freedom in their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D promises to bring a host of new features including a permanent Tag Mode with an Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, new and returning mini-games, and a variety of new cosmetics to enhance your gaming experience. It's important to note that Among Us 3D is distinct from the original Among Us VR released in 2022, and there will be no cross-play between the two games. Schell Games emphasized that separating the versions allows them to focus on delivering quality updates for both VR and new PC players.
