Story

The DC universe is comprised of multiple parallel dimensions existing simultaneously, known as alternate universes. In these realms, events unfold differently, leading to diverse outcomes.

In the game's fictional alternate universe, Superman becomes corrupted after being tricked into killing his pregnant wife Lois and millions of civilians in a tragic nuclear accident. He then brutally eliminates the Joker, the mastermind behind the tragedy, and establishes tyrannical control over the planet.

With his mind corrupted, Superman perceives himself as a supreme deity tasked with maintaining peace and order. He loses his moral compass and will kill anyone he deems guilty.

This cannot continue without leading to the planet's destruction. Thus, a group of superheroes forms the Insurgency to oppose this dictatorship, led by Batman. Despite their collective strength, they cannot defeat Superman's One Earth Regime without additional help.

Batman and the Insurgency devise a plan to teleport superheroes from a different dimension, where the Joker's schemes have never succeeded. They aim to harness the powers of these alternate superheroes. Thus, your epic journey in the world of Injustice begins.
