Game Introduction

Learning to read begins with understanding the sounds letters make, rather than their names. This approach helps children connect letters directly to speech, making reading more intuitive and natural.

An essential part of a child's learning journey is the presence of an adult who guides and supports them. This person can perform specific exercises that help the child observe mouth movements and understand how to shape their lips and tongue to produce each sound accurately.

To start, we introduce a set of simple letters from the alphabet—those that are easiest to learn. These letters are used to form animal names and common everyday words. In this method, the focus is on saying the *sound* of the letter, not its name.

Initially, adults should practice together with the child, keeping in mind that reading is a gradual process. Once the child becomes familiar with the basics, they can explore the application independently, while adults check in periodically for shared practice sessions. Over time, adults can move to the “Discover the Word” section and guide the child through structured exercises:

  1. Ask the child to say the sound of each letter in the word [ttpp].
  2. After practicing for a bit, ask, "What did you say?"
  3. Never reveal the word to the child.

Repeat this process, encouraging the child to say the sounds faster, reducing the pause between each letter sound. Resist the urge to tell them the word. One day, when asked "What did you say?", the child might respond, "I said [ttpp]!" That moment marks a breakthrough—the child has started to read.

Soon after, you may notice the child showing enthusiasm for reading every word they encounter. This is the perfect time to gradually introduce more complex letters and sounds. For example, the letter C can have different pronunciations—it can be soft, like in 'sky', or hard, like in 'house', depending on the surrounding letters. Other letters and combinations previously not covered can also be introduced. It’s crucial to respect each child's unique pace and learning path.
