Squares

Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word puzzle and strategy game challenging players to complete squares on a grid to form words.

Gameplay: Connect letters in any direction—up, down, left, right, or diagonally—to create words. The objective is to locate all words within the letter grid and accumulate the highest possible score.

Game Rules: Each letter in a word earns one point (e.g., a five-letter word scores five points). Words must contain at least four letters. Each tile can be used only once per word. Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and uncommon terms are excluded.

Bonus Words: Bonus words are less common, archaic, or slang terms. While they don't contribute to your score, they appear in a separate list. The hunt for these continues even after finding all main words (post-game). Each puzzle also features a "Word of the Day," a special, often longer bonus word. Finding it rewards you with two extra hints!

Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available daily at midnight.

Grid Rotation: Need a fresh perspective? Rotate the grid left or right using the buttons in the bottom-right corner. A different view can unlock hidden words.

Letter Usage Hints: Once you've discovered 40% of the words, a hint appears: a number on each letter indicates how many words begin with that letter. The absence of a number means no words start with that letter. An orange letter signifies it's no longer used in the main words but might appear in bonus words.

Hints System: Each puzzle offers three to five hints (lightbulb icon). Using a hint reveals the first letter of a random word and its search direction. The number of hints (three to five) depends on the puzzle's difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends grants an additional hint! Good luck and happy word hunting!
