Despite their popularity, neither The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker nor Twilight Princess have been ported to the original Nintendo Switch or the upcoming Switch 2. This has led to concerns among fans, especially since The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, previously ported to the Wii U in 2013, will soon be accessible through Nintendo's premium subscription service upon the Nintendo Switch 2's release on June 5.

During a Q&A session, Bihldorff addressed the possibility of a dedicated port for the Switch 2, stating, "All options are on the table." He pointed out that there are precedents for games available on Nintendo Switch Online also being released in other formats, whether as remakes or the same port version. This suggests that while nothing is confirmed, a port for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker to the Switch 2 remains a possibility.

The inclusion of GameCube titles in the Nintendo Switch Online library was revealed during last week's Nintendo Direct presentation. This update will provide subscribers with access to a range of classic titles from the early 2000s, such as F-Zero GX and Soulcalibur 2, all set to launch this summer.
