Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: Stream Select Games on Consoles Now
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have a thrilling new perk at their fingertips: the ability to stream select games directly to their Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One consoles without the need for downloads. This exciting development was announced via an Xbox Wire news post, marking a significant expansion of the cloud streaming service previously available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets. Now, console gamers can enjoy the convenience of instant play, saving both time and valuable hard drive space.
To take advantage of this feature, Xbox users should navigate to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games. Games that support cloud streaming will be marked with a cloud badge. To streamline your search, use the filter options by selecting Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming. Once you find a game you want to play, simply select it and choose Play with Cloud Gaming. Additionally, after purchasing select cloud playable games, you can start streaming directly from the Store app.
Conversely, if you have games installed on your Xbox console, you can stream them to devices with supported web browsers using this link. Note that this streaming feature is no longer supported on the Xbox mobile app but remains accessible on phones via the provided browser link. Xbox is also expanding this capability to Samsung and Amazon Fire smart TVs, as well as Meta Quest headsets.
Starting this month, Xbox and Xbox 360 backward compatible games will also support remote play, further enhancing the flexibility of gaming on Xbox platforms.
