Wuthering Waves: Solving the Morph Painting Puzzle

Rinascita is a world brimming with secrets, and among its most intriguing challenges are the Morph Painting puzzles. These puzzles come in two main forms: Overflowing Palettes and Morph Painting Restoration tasks. The latter, while relatively straightforward, offer valuable rewards—especially if you're aiming to collect extra Astrites in *Wuthering Waves*. Below, we’ll walk you through how these puzzles function, where to find them, and most importantly—how to solve them.

Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves

Restoring Morph Paintings is a simple yet rewarding activity. All you need to do is locate the correct painting and place it on the matching pedestal. Each pedestal will have a description hinting at which painting belongs there. Use your Levitator utility (automatically equipped when needed, or manually by pressing Tab/D-Pad Left) to lift and position the paintings accordingly.

Currently, there are two known Morph Painting restoration puzzles in the game, both tied to specific quests: Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise and Trials of Old.

Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle

As part of the Shadows of the Past questline, players will explore all three towers in Thorncrown – Thessaleo Falls. One of these towers, Resounding Rise, contains a Morph Painting puzzle that needs solving. Follow these steps to complete it (use the central large painting as a reference):

• Swap the front-left and back-right paintings.
• Take the painting located behind the left pedestals and place it on the back-left pedestal.
• Grab the painting behind the chairs on the right and set it on the front-right pedestal.

Once the puzzle is correctly arranged, a reward chest will appear, allowing you to continue with the rest of the quest.

Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle

The Trials of Old quest involves completing four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in the eastern area of Thessaleo Fells. Within this quest lies another Morph Painting puzzle found in the Trial of Wisdom. Here, players must place each painting on the correct pedestal so that the story unfolds from left to right.

To make things easier, simply observe whether the pedestal frame lights up after inserting a painting. If it does, you’ve placed the correct one—this visual cue allows you to bypass overthinking the entire logic of the puzzle.
