Following the Version 2.4 update, Wuthering Waves is gearing up for its next major release: Version 2.5, "Unfading Melody of Life." Arriving on July 24 across all platforms, the update introduces a new Resonator, an explorable location, and fresh story content, along with gameplay refinements and limited-time events.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 continues the central plot in Chapter II Act VII – Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens. A new zone, the Fabricatorium of the Deep, has been added to the map, offering additional exploration challenges. Players will also encounter new Echoes such as Nightmare: Hecate and Galcio Predator, as well as a formidable Phantom: Nightmare Inferno Rider.

The main attraction this version is Phrolova, a new Resonator appearing in the debut event banner "Requiem Without End." She is accompanied by a new weapon, Lethean Elegy, available through a limited-time Weapon Convene. These new additions coincide with several limited-time events, including Phantasma Dreamland, the Gifts of Grand Symphony login event, and The Border Mountains.

The update also adds a new Sonata Effect, Dream of the Lost, which increases Crit Rate and Echo Skill damage when your Resonance Energy is at zero. If you're unsure which Resonators to include in your team, our Wuthering Waves tier list can help you decide.

Several quality-of-life improvements have been implemented as well. Echo Management now supports auto-locking or auto-discarding Echoes based on custom plans, while the new Sync Tuning feature simplifies Echo upgrades by automatically applying Tuners. Players can now save up to 10 team presets and toggle skill music for specific Resonators to customize their gameplay.

Wuthering Waves is now officially compatible with Steam Deck. On mobile, the game remains a nominee for the Forever Franchise award at the Mobile Games Awards, alongside popular titles like Candy Crush Saga, Clash Royale, and Subway Surfers.
