WoW Unveils 2nd Timewalking: Embark on Nostalgic Adventures
World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns running until February 24th. This extended event provides ample opportunity to earn exciting rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and enjoy a significant experience boost.
This latest iteration expands upon the September 2023 event, which featured five weeks of Timewalking. Players will once again have the chance to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, the rewards have been supercharged!
The Grand Timewalking Tour:
This seven-week journey through WoW's history begins January 7th with Mists of Pandaria and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week features a different expansion's Timewalking content, including quests, dungeons, and raids.
World of Warcraft Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Unlocking the Timely Buzzbee Mount:
Achieve Mastery of Timeways for five out of the seven weeks to earn the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and its coveted reward: the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors will also boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor, and a second chance to obtain the Sandy Shalewing pet. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will yield Heroic-level gear throughout the event.
A Non-Stop Timewalking Spree:
Following the recent 11-week World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, this adds up to an incredible 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking!
A Glimpse into WoW's Future:
The Turbulent Timeways' conclusion on February 24th offers a significant clue about upcoming content. Considering Blizzard's typical release schedule and the holiday season, the end of the event strongly suggests that World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," is poised for release on February 25th, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With the Turbulent Timeways, Plunderstorm's extended run (January 14th-February 17th), and The War Within's upcoming major content update, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025.
