Wolcen Unveils "ExtrAction RPG" Project Pantheon: A Blend of Diablo and Escape from Tarkov

Wolcen Studio has exciting news for gaming enthusiasts with the announcement of Project Pantheon, a new free-to-play combat role-playing game that integrates elements of extraction shooter mechanics. The first closed alpha testing phase kicks off on January 25 for players in Europe, with North American players joining the action on February 1.
"We've blended the tension and risk-reward dynamics of an extraction shooter with the engaging battle mechanics of combat role-playing games," explained game director Andrei Cirkulete. Drawing inspiration from classics like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov, Project Pantheon promises a thrilling experience. "We are eager to hear feedback from our players," Cirkulete added. In this post-apocalyptic world, players assume the role of a messenger of Death, striving to restore order amidst chaos.
As players navigate through the game, they'll face off against AI opponents and other players, exploring various maps in search of valuable trophies. Success hinges on a successful evacuation; fail, and all loot is lost. The game offers a rich experience, allowing players to craft their own bases, customize equipment, and experiment with different playstyles.
The immersive world of Project Pantheon is inspired by global mythologies, with the economy driven by player-to-player trading. The initial setting, "Destiny's Edge," draws from Scandinavian legends, setting the stage for epic adventures. Despite being in the early alpha stage, Wolcen Studio is committed to actively engaging the community to refine and enhance the game.
