Universal Studios Debuts Fallout Haunted House for Halloween 2025

Universal Unveils Fallout and Five Nights at Freddy

IGN can exclusively confirm that Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights will introduce two terrifying new attractions this year - a haunted house based on Prime Video's Fallout series and a Five Nights at Freddy's experience inspired by the movie, featuring animatronics crafted by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

Venturing Into the Nuclear Wasteland

The Fallout haunted house will launch on August 29 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood, taking guests through memorable moments from Fallout's debut season.

Attendees will begin their journey in Vault 33 alongside Lucy MacLean, fleeing a violent massacre while uncovering dark secrets. The experience then extends into the apocalyptic Wasteland, where visitors must evade attacks from Scavengers, Raiders, and mutated RAD Roaches. Key locations include the Super Duper Mart, encounters with the Ghoul, and a meeting with Maximus in his imposing T-60 armor.

Universal creative leads John Murdy (Hollywood) and Matthew Flood (Orlando) shared exclusive details with IGN about bringing Fallout's nuclear wasteland to life:

"We want fans to feel fully immersed in Fallout's world," Flood explained. "Walking through a vault into the Wasteland, facing ghouls - this delivers exactly what Horror Nights fans crave: intensity, monstrous creatures, and atmospheric storytelling."

Retro-Futuristic Terror

"Fallout's unique 1950s aesthetic and post-nuclear setting offers fresh horror territory we've never explored before," Murdy noted. Each location will feature distinctive elements - Hollywood's T-60 armor will be fully animatronic, while Orlando prepares an epic battle sequence featuring the armor.

The haunted house promises numerous Easter Eggs for dedicated fans. Flood teased: "Look closely at storefronts and building details - we've included hidden surprises throughout." Murdy confirmed detailed 100-page production documents ensure meticulous recreation of Fallout's universe.

Five Nights Frights

The Five Nights at Freddy's attraction will faithfully recreate the film's terrifying animatronics. "It's like living inside the movie," Murdy promised.

Halloween Horror Nights runs from late August through October across both Universal parks. For more details, check IGN's coverage including our Fallout Season 1 review and breakdown of upcoming summer gaming events.
