Author : Lily May 14,2025

Despite an exciting pre-launch crossover event showcasing classics like Super Monkey Ball and Altered Beast, Sonic Rumble won't be hitting the global stage just yet. This eagerly awaited multiplayer battle royale, which amassed over 1.4 million pre-registrations, has been temporarily delayed by Sega.

The delay is to fine-tune the upcoming version 1.2 update, which is set to revolutionize Sonic Rumble's toybox world crafted by Dr. Eggman. This update introduces exciting new features such as Rumble Rankings, Crews, and character Skills. These enhancements are designed to enrich the gameplay experience, offering more than just a rush to victory.

Rumble Rankings will enable players to climb seasonal leaderboards and earn rewards, while Crews will allow you and your friends to tackle score missions together. Additionally, the new Skills system will equip characters with unique abilities, adding a strategic layer to the gameplay.

Sonic Rumble UpdateRather than rushing these updates post-launch, Sega has chosen to delay the release to ensure everything is polished to perfection. In the meantime, mark your calendars for a Q&A session on May 2nd, hosted on Discord, where you can learn more about what's in store and ask any questions you might have.
