Silent Hill f debuted a brand new trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live, offering our first listen to English voice actor Suzie Yeung, who portrays the main character, Hinako.

The trailer begins with Hinako awakening in a dark, unfamiliar room. As she explores what appears to be a shrine, she follows a mysterious figure holding a blue lamp deeper into the space. She is soon attacked by the unsettling dolls featured in previous trailers, with quick cuts revealing more disturbing rooms within the shrine.

The scene then shifts to a rain-soaked old house that Hinako seems to recognize as her own. We see her with torn and bloodied clothes as a disturbing woman's voice urges, "Kill everyone." This leads to a tense confrontation with one of her classmates. While less graphic than the previous trailer, the atmosphere remains deeply unsettling.

Set in 1960s Japan, Silent Hill f features a story by Ryukishi07 that explores the contrast between beauty and horror. Announced in 2022, this standalone entry is Japan's first M-rated Silent Hill title, accompanied by strong content warnings. Recent insights confirm a focus on challenging combat. Series producer Motoi Okamoto noted, "With action-heavy games gaining popularity among younger players, incorporating such elements will help the game resonate even with newcomers to the series."

Silent Hill f launches on September 25 this year for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. We recently spent five hours with the game; you can read our full preview at the link below.
